Excel Path/Filename Tip (Not Trick!)
To display the path and filename of your file in a cell of your Excel spreadsheet, simply type this into the cell: =CELL("filename")
What you’ll see is the network or computer location of your file and the name of the individual worksheet in the file, in a path format that looks something like this: Q:\Shared Folders\Employees\[Employee List.xlsx]Sheet1
You’ll see it right in your Excel worksheet on your screen – you don’t need to print preview or print it to see it.
You can also insert a header or footer and click on the file path or file name, as well as a number of other identifying elements, to display this info in your header or footer, rather than in an actual cell of your worksheet. It’ll show up when you print preview or print the file.
Either way, you’ll never lose an Excel file again!

Trick or Treat?!
It’s always such a treat when our students share how they feel about their experiences here at Computer Magic Training. Believe it or not, we did not use any tricks to make them say the following about us:
“The Crystal Reports class went perfectly! The instructor was extremely knowledgeable, made the class enjoyable, and customized the class around some of our Chameleon requirements. It was a great experience and we learned so much. I will always turn to Computer Magic Training for our staff needs. Your training is the BEST!” – M.R., Customized Crystal Reports 10 Level 1 Group Class
“The class was immensely helpful, and the staff has expressed their gratitude for having had the training before launch day. Work went much more smoothly and people were more productive the first week than I expected/hoped.” – M.E., Customized Windows 7 / Office 2010 New Features Group Class
“I Love It! You are an awesome team and I am very happy that you were awarded the prestigious women owned business certification by WBENC. I have never enjoyed learning more than when I take one of your classes. CONGRATULATIONS!” – A.G., Access 2010 Levels 1-2-3-Reports/Forms Group Classes
“Computer Magic Training is an excellent and professional training center. We conducted most of our on-site computer classes through them and the employees raved about them, plus the instructors were excellent. I don't know what your training budget will be but I highly recommend Sharon and her staff.” – R.M., Director of Human Resources
We believe that training is personal— that it works like magic through engagement and participation.
