Summer Celebration

June 2009 Newsletter

Summertime … and the livin’ is easy? No? If this year doesn’t feel easy for your organization … your employees are wearing more hats than ever and you need to raise multi-tasking to a new level, then making a small investment in high-quality training could result in a big improvement in productivity.

High-Quality Training
What is the difference between average-quality and high-quality training? Why should you invest a little more on a HIGH-quality training provider? And how can you tell the difference? As our students frequently tell us, the difference is HUGE:

  • Emphasis on the learning environment – is your training company focused on providing an exceptional environment for learning? Comfortable, attractive facilities and reliable technology setups make a big difference in how well a student learns during the day. It’s well-known that people learn better when they’re comfortable.
  • Best trainers in the industry – we’re not exaggerating! Our students know – and they tell us often – that we have FANTASTIC instructors and facilitators. Our rigorous screening process allows only the best instructors to deliver our training programs to you. They are caring, effective communicators who are highly knowledgeable and devoted to YOUR learning experience.
  • Courseware that is personally reviewed and hand-selected from a broad range of courseware providers, so the best class of courseware is chosen for each topic. Each student receives a full-size printed training manual for their use in class and after-class reference – a value-added takeaway.
  • All-day class format so we get to know you. Students aren’t coming and going for short modules during the day, so there are no interruptions. Our instructors get to know you personally all day, and can tailor the class to meet your needs. Questions are encouraged, and topics are clearly explained with real-world examples. Our trainers are willing and able to spend extra time with you to ensure that all your questions are answered and that you have plenty of support.
  • Time is precious – don’t waste your employees’ time with bad classes or bad instructors. Don’t send your employees to classes where they don’t learn anything. Our classes run smoothly and our students are pleased with their learning experience and our customer support.
  • Unlimited Time After-Class Support – NO time limit for after-class questions by phone or email, on any topic we cover during the class.
  • Free Class Repeats – for 18 months afterwards – for refreshers as many times as you want to come back – for ANY reason. Makes the learning really stick!
  • RESULTS – your learning is GUARANTEED – and we’ll go the extra mile to ensure that your learning sticks.

MURPHY’S MANNERS
POLISHING YOUR PROFESSIONAL IMAGE

Dear Murphy,
I’m going to New York to meet with a client. I’m going to pick him up at his office in a taxi. I’ve heard that there are guidelines for where the guest should sit. Can you help me make a good impression with my client?

Dear Good Taxi Impression,
Your guest should sit in the back seat on the curbside. That way, he won’t have to get in or out of the taxi on the traffic side. Here’s how you arrange it: when you pick up your guest, you get in the cab first from the curbside and slide across the seat to make room for him. Don’t forget to be prepared to pay the fare plus tip upon arrival. The tip should be around 15%. Add an extra dollar or two if the driver helps with parcels or luggage.
